On or Off

On Off

If only it was so easy to switch off the things in life we do not like.

Actually come to think of it, it is simple, we tend to make it more complex, by analyzing in too much depth the consequences of us switching it off, or leaving it on.

To shoot or not to shoot

Ardor and Passion

I often face this situation, where a scene is unfolding in front of my eyes and it could be a great photographic moment, but at the same time, you care for the safety of the subjects and the situation that is there. The heart says to do one thing, and the mind something else.

It is in these situations when you pause and more often than not, just end up saying, "Some shots are best taken with the eye."

Have you ever...

Anderson ko Phansi lagao ..

...shot in a protest and processions?

I did it recently.. and found it challenging and wondered what goes through a war photographer's mind when he is on duty.

Agony and Hope

Agony and Hope

The biggest agony of my life is the lack of time to do all the things I want to.

Days turn into months.
Years pass on.

The hope keeps me going.

Periodical Cleanup

Silver Cleaning

From time to time everything requires a periodical cleanup. This not only brings out the long lost shine, but also opens up newer avenues, which would have otherwise remained buried in the dirt.

I think it's time for one such periodical cleanup of the mess in life :)

The Silver Cleaner

The Silver Cleaner

I love to interact with people on the streets, while I am doing my photography. They are drawn to me, on seeing the camera, I am drawn to them seeing their work and their smiles.

The beauty of interacting with the people on the streets is that they are never shy of showing their skills and then happily posing for you.

I absolutely loved the way he went about cleaning the Silver jewelery.

Give me some sleep!

Sleep

When you are an entrepreneur, sleep is a luxury!
You are always short of it, and even when you are sleeping, somewhere at the back of the mind, you are always thinking something. Some way to utilize the time properly.

Grey Scale

Grey Scale

Nothing can beat, waking up a morning to an expanse of greenery.

Shown above is a view from my Hotel room in Goa, which I experienced everyday that I was there on my recent visit.

Of old buildings and lines ...

Purana Bhopal

Old Bhopal is full of them.
Each such building has a story in it and one could spend hours if not days just trying to guess the story.
