A respect for the Jawans...
It's only when you visit the harsh conditions in which the Indian army is doing duty, to protect us, that you realize the amount of risk and hard work they put in each day. The respect level goes to an all time high, only to never question again.
This was taken in the Nathulla Village, close to the Indo-China border in Sikkim.

A lifeline
It always fascinates me when I come across a natural entity that is the lifeline of a community. The river Teesta in Sikkim is one such thing.
It's such a beautiful river, and the drive on the NH31A from Siliguri to Gangtok, takes you alongside this river for a major part of the journey. The river adds to the beauty of the drive and any photographer would love the ride.
